Crispus, Caesar, 316-326. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.65 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, 326. CRISPVS NOB CAES Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Crispus to right. Rev. PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS / CONS Campgate with two turrets and no doors; above, star; in field to left, B. RIC 8. Extremely rare. Minor flatness on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.

Coins struck in Constantinople for Crispus are extremely rare. Ramskold (in press) has presented evidence for the withdrawal of coins for Crispus in this emission, and also those from some other mints, after he fell from grace and was executed in July/August 326.
